⑵ An assistant professor at a prestigious university in the United States.
① The appointment of an American professor
○ Networking is more important than journal listing to be hired by American universities.
○ Therefore, American universities have less pressure on the number of journal entries.
② 9 months wage: $85,000 (pay is disclosed in real name)
③ 25% deducted by income tax: $5312 divided by 12
④ Housing insurance, auto insurance, medical insurance, $4,500

⑦ House loan of 200 million dollars: $1500
⑧ American professors don’t have a retirement age, but they usually work until the age of 65 and retire.
○ Reason: Because I get a lot of pension (approximately $80,500)
○ However, professors who are active in research do not retire according to their age.
○ In the case of 1. Annual pension receipt = Total wage during working period * 1.8%
○ In the case of 2. Annual pension = Average of the highest annual salary of 5 years * (1.8% * working period)
○ The total amount of pension is less than that of office workers who have worked for a long time.

○ If I did Podak, I would be in the same position as PI in Industries.
○ If I were a doctor, I would be a research scientist
⑥ Job/Post-doc/Faculty Posting Examples
○ Pfizer
⑷ Professor in Korea
① Impact factor is more important than the number of papers.
② One paper published in a good journal is equivalent to several other small papers.
